1. My child keeps getting recurrent colds. Is that normal?

  • No, it is completely normal for children of school going age to develop recurrent colds. These are mostly due to viral infections that they pick up at school. It is usually caught from another child with the infection. Similarly, your child can pass on the infection to another child unknowingly. Thus, creating a vicious cycle. But do not worry! The frequency and intensity of these infections will come down as your child grows and their immune system learns to deal with these germs

  • How well a child is eating is a subjective measurement. As long as your child’s height and weight are within normal limits, there is no need to worry. Even if your child is in the lower normal range, do not worry as long as your child is healthy and active. It is common for toddlers (1-3 years) to lose interest in their food as they develop a liking to their surrounding environment.
